Aeolian Data Center Harp

All of the electrical energy consumed during computation is inevitably converted into heat. To counteract this, fans are used for cooling in computers and servers, therefore these devices create an air flow and wind. An aeolian harp (also known as wind harp) is a string based instrument that is played by the wind. The wind causes the strings tightened on a wooden board to vibrate. During the STWST84x12 several aeolian harps are installed inside the Seruvs.at datacenter in Stadtwerkstatt and transduct its computation into an audible live performance.
